Last year there was some consideration given to a spring wildflower gathering in Texas but the conditions were pretty lousy and the plans were scrapped. It did in fact turn out to be a sub-par year. This year is shaping up much better as we've had the cold wet winter that usually brings out the best in the bluebonnets especially. Here's a link to a hill country forecast FYI. Yes, it does look like a good year for the bluebonnets after a wet fall and winter. Hoping for some blue!

I'm just outside Austin and we have high hopes for a good spring wildflower season. We've received lots of rain and Lake Travis is nearly full again. Can't wait till April! Hope to see some of you make it down this way.

Please keep us updated and reminded. I would not mind a trip to TX for wildflowers.
