I went up to White River for sunrise on Wednesday. I was hoping to catch the alpenglow/sunrise on Mt Hood, but the clouds were not cooperating. Instead I focused on the wonderful sunrise in the east looking down stream. All comments/critiques are appreciated.

This is very beautiful, Scott. Great light and mood. And you were standing in that freezing water? Looks like it, anyway.

Love the sky, Scott. And that water is cool, in more ways than one. Nice depth to the image, with the river as a great leading line. I would like to see the foreground a bit brighter, these are always tough with the wide dynamic range. I might also recommend toning down the blues in the snow on the left bank. That sky is terrific.

The trees on the top left seemed funky to me at first. Anyone mind taking a look at that? Maybe I'm seeing something that's not there. I love the rock in the bottom right corner. Incredible shot.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.
Catherine - I found a rock in the middle of the river and set up my tripod there. I did get one of my feet wet getting out there!
David - I will try to reprocess with your suggestions and will repost the photo soon. Thanks for the feedback
Erik - Some of the trees in the upper left may look a little strange because they are dead. Something is killing the trees in the White River canyon and in some areas almost 1/3rd of the trees are dead.

Here is an edit with the blues toned down on the left hand snow, slightly brighter foreground and a bit more contrast in the sky.
