A Walk In The Park
A quick story with some images to accompany it about my sunset trip to the Dunes yesterday.

Comments welcome since I'm not sure how good my processing is with only one eye open

B&W processing looks real good to me.
Sounds like anything but a 'walk in the park'!

That shot above is outstanding--i have got to join the Nik folks one of these days...
Sounds like a fun trip--sorry i couldnt join you, sounds like the wind was fairly mild
The good thing is a scratched cornea heals in about 24-36 hours, trust me, I know

You're right about the sky in this one, it has a lot going for it. Sounds like a nightmare hike, but you got some really good stuff.

Aleks, Looks like NIK is rhe way to go, I will have to check that out. I don't get to the dunes often enough but I love that place! It is never the same from trip to trip so that keeps it fresh. I agree with your thoughts in your blog. I do my best work when shooting alone.

Yowser....sounds like rather hellish conditions for a hike!! I've been there during similar conditions and know I wouldn't have attempted to go that far so kudos to you. At least you were rewarded with some very nice images.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. And I will definitely remember to bring my ski goggles next time

I like this one, Aleks, but I think the first one on your blog is my favorite. So, if you used the camera to protect your eye, what happened to your camera gear? Any grinding noises?

This b/w alone was worth the effort. Beautiful! Great tones.

Yeah, great BW treatment and a very nice comp with the big, dramatic sky. Nice work!
