Just around the corner
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for Spring!

Gathering a bunch of photos for a project, and I found this on the hard drive. From Maroon Lake, spring 2006. The graphic appeal is really growing on me.

I'd love to hear feedback/comments. :toast:

That's a nice image for sure! I love the pale green against the mountain backdrop. :toast:

Very nice! Really like the contrast between the light green and the dark reds.

Beautiful image, love those greens.

Im hoping for some horrific springs blizzards, personally

Sweet! It kind of looks like something from Silver Jack but the color of the rocks screams Maroon Bells. Great find and it makes me look forward to spring.

When I first saw this I thought it was from Zion, then the aspens brought me down to earth. Well put together with layering and a lot of differing colors, even some white with the snow. This one should be a good one for you Jesse.

That dash of sunlight in the aspens makes this one sing!
Great exposure and composition. Now, I know that this isn't tilted, but it still feels like it has a slight counterclockwise pull to it.

Very nice. As others have already said, the greens and reds are very appealing. The peaks are very interesting and add to the appeal.

As for Stan's wish for snow, I would second that one. I would expect one or two good events for the front range given the behavior of the storms this El Nino year. Spring will come after all the shoveling.

Gotta love that RGB! Just a marvelous comp, great light and color.

That lighting is to die for and I love the color contrasts. Absolutely wonderful, Jesse.

HA! RGB, that's good! Great shot, Jesse. I'm kinda over the cold weather, but if I had time to go out more often and chase some of the snow storms that have graced the San Juans and other places, I'd not be in such a hurry to see it go.

I do always love the vibrance of freshly popped leaves.

The colors really sing on this shot. It's definitely making me pine for warmer weather!

Yep, bring on spring. I'm so anxious for it I'm making my own early spring by heading to Phoenix for 7 days.

Love the image, Jesse. Very graphic and even a little abstract, which I like. The color contrasts are quite nice.

We're a long ways from Spring in Montana! I really like the image, Jesse - worthy of a frame for sure! I think I would like to see just a little more blue sky at the top, perhaps.

Nice green. Spring you say? Only days away here in Texas!

Bradford pears should pop in 2 weeks or less.

Don't remind me Doug! I appreciate the feedback everyone.

Definitely a dramatic image! Great eye as always!

Jesse,

Love the contrast between the colors. I'm attaching a picture from the same area I took over the summer a couple of years ago.

The bottom half is definitely my favorite part but all in all an excellent image. Would we expect anything else from you?

Jesse.... placement of those trees and the lines they draw really makes this image. Having been in this area I know I would have never seen this,,,,another proof that you are one of the best ...great job...love the light and the colors on those trees... :toast:
