On a day that was so stormy in the E. Sierra I decided to go to Death Valley if necessary in search of light. After all it was only 100 miles from Lone Pine. I found light and clouds and even a little rain. In the late afternoon broken clouds in the West allowed a whole sky of god beams to shine down. I believe this was near the Jct turning off towards Beatty. Olympus E-500 f18 ISO 100 1/80. I had never seen such a long unbroken line of beams shining down.
