Short Eared Owl hunting + colour version
Yet another shot from last year

Shorty hunting in the last bit of light before the sun went down.

A bit out of my comfort zone as I usually like em big in frame. I also liked the mono treatment.

Comments most welcome :toast:

I like the image Ian but not the B/W treatment. I'd clone out that light bush in the centre of the background as it really catches my eye.

I really like this, the owl stands out well and the grass line leads you straight to it.

I would be interested to see what it looks like in colour...

That is certainly small in the frame for you Ian  Would prefer to see it in colour. I don't find it works in B&W but only a personal view. :wavey:

Don't worry, Ian, most people don't get any nearer than this to a Short-eared owl! Agree with the comments about B&W - let's see it in colour.

I prefer the colour version too, it really captures the jizz of both bird and habitat.
