Winter Red
I have been after Red Squirrels in Snowy conditions for years and so this year I made an effort to do them. This is one those shots where the credit is due to another photographer whose hard work over the years has made it possible, I just turned up to take the picture. So big thanks for Pete for letting me have a go at your Reds and big big thanks to Aunty Amanda for feeding me and putting me up. You see all you have got to do is ask

Canon 1DS MK11 (I miss my baby she is poorly), 500mm lens, 1/60, F4, ISO 200

I see you allowed yourself your usual amount of leeway with shutter speed  Cracking capture, I love the snow speckles in the tail  I hope the poorly camera is nursed back to health soon...

The dusting of snow on the tail completes a great image.

Agree the sprinkling of snow on the tail works a treat. I just love these little fellahs - just wish it wasn't a 5 hour drive to get them :frown:

Hope your baby gets better. You should try a Nikon Danny - they are a much healthier breed

Danny can't handle a Nikon Maggie
I think Mr Cairns might be getting numerous phone calls though after this.

A really excellent image. Didn't see any any reds at Formby Point when we were clearing gorse there last month. Plenty of dogs and their deposits though

Simply beautiful, Danny. The snow on the tail really makes it.
