The panoramic treatment really suits the subject. A very minor nit, I would like to see a little more space on the right so that the animal was not quite so central.

HI david,
I was caught between wanting the wake in and space to swim into.

My trouble is I want both, but I do slightly prefer the second version.

beautiful shot

The first one for me, Ian. The ripples to the right in the 2nd image tend to draw my eye away from the beautiful water vole.
Love the second one, the colour in the water makes it for me, it reminds of my favourite duck site where I used to live... the water used to change colour all the time depending on the light and the season

First one for me Ian - the ripples add to the story and it has plenty of room to 'move into' - and the rest is pretty fine too

Great shot, I prefer the second as the water reflections really make it.
