Hey folks
If you haven't seen the documentary film 'Manufactured Landscapes' yet, I'd highly recommend it. Powerful stuff. Edward Burtynsky is an incredible photographer, really, really amazing. I wrote a review of the film here ... more info is also here.
From a purely photographic standpoint the film is amazing. From an artistic standpoint, it goes beyond, that into the realm of timeless.
Carl, from subjects and environments we typically look for to photograph, to this subject can be a real mind jolt. Just looking at many of the images in the video can conjure up thoughts of pollution run a muck. The massive tire field was an eye sore of reality. Some very impressive work from around the world by Edward Burtynsky. Those images would neatly fit right into the EPJ gallery here at NPN.
