European wolf in snow - CAPTIVE, BAITED, DIGITALLY MANIPULATED and brilliant
European wolf.
To confirm: CAPTIVE, BAITED, DIGITALLY MANIPULATED (Oh . . . and presented how the photographer wanted it to look).

A camera, a lens, an ISO, a bean-bag on the ground, nerves of steel.

All it needs is 'This is not a wolf' printed underneath.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9_Magritte

Ahh - excuse me. .... I've a bone to pick (not a deer leg bone either )

Can it be captive and baited at the same time? Or should that be Captive and fed?

tongue planted firmly in cheek :jump:

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Nick: You caught me out, I hold my hands up; I used the word 'baited' to make myself look better - ego is such a fickle thing!

Cheers,
Chris

The 'digitally manipulated' bit is the bit you ALL missed and did not pick up on......I have it on good authority that this is actually a woodlouse and the appearance of the 'wolf' is entirely done using the Lupus Plugin for CS4. Get away with you 'Oh Really' - you think we're not wise to you by now!

A comical set of replies and narative, not detracting from a well thought out image . :toast:

Thanks again for the feedback - some fun stuff too. Ta.

Paul: I hoped someone would make reference to 'Fairytale Wolf' - you've restored my faith in what I know about humankind. I could do with £10K.

Nice image Chris! What I particularly like (and I hope the over 300 viewers appreciated too) is the full breadth of your humour. I think we take ourselves far too seriously, and are half way up our own pompous bottoms way too often. Can I vote that we honour Chris's efforts by each posting our best Tairy Fail Wolf pic. I'll start.........
