The rain that was forcast for today did not materialize. Morning in the Alabama Hills was cloudy enough to ruin the light, then cleared up to become a bright very partly cloudy day by 10 AM. No great photos to be had by me.
It's been many days on my road trip since I took a photo I liked, so in desperation I started playing around. This is taken on the road down from Onion Valley, above Independence, about 30 minutes before sunset. It's a vertical pan shot at f22 and 0.7 seconds.

I really like this shot, very interesting, great idea.
This is cool, Tony. I would have liked to see the right-most tree not clipped at the top. Otherwise, I like the color and the abstract look. Nice.

I wasn't expecting this pleasant surprise from the post title. Very nice mix of color and shapes! I might try a 4x5 crop (eliminating the tree on the right)... I think that could look good too. Good stuff!
