Does anyone frame large prints, either for yourself or clients? I have an itch to print a large (20x30) image that I want to frame in something on the order of 28x40 inches. This will be for me, and I'd like to find a frame with 2 inch or larger mouldings - preferably in a dark wood - cherry or mahogany tone. I'd need to also figure out a source for glass for the same.

I've developed a liking for the supergloss prints I have been ordering from West Coast Imaging lately, and would like to do one of my waterfall images big. Apparently others like it too, as I am selling 2 large prints of the Bandon lighthouse I recently hung in my fiancee's office last week.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Ned,
I do most of my own framing, mat and glass cutting. The largest I've done was a 20x30" print that I matted and framed out to 32x42". I would be glad to help you with your project. I have sources for frame moulding and glass. Send me an email if your interested.

Thank you, Craig. I sent to the email contact on your site from my Comcast email account. Nice site, by the way!

I routinely do 20x30 photos in 24x36 frames. I order the photos mounted on styrene from White House Custom Color, and then use inexpensive production frames and cut my own mats. This simplifies the process, and reduces my final costs (I primarily print to donate to non-profits).

On the other hand, Craig has a true frame shop in his garage and I would drive like the wind to take advantage of his offer.

I absolutely agree, John... I've never tried WHCC before, but I love WCI too much to switch!

If your interested in framing with some serious discounts. Check out West Coast Frames, in the hollywood district. Greg has treated our business efforts very well and allowed us to make a good profit on our framed peices. Anyone not wanting to frame themselves...this is the best deal in the Portland area.

Hope this helps.
