In the spirit of a recent most excellent thread by Mr O'Reilly - and honouring these wonderful woodland creatures - a wolf heading for lunch, and conveniently, towards the lenses of a small photo tour group, in which, as I recall, no-one else remembered there's a blurry setting on their cameras.
I've looked everywhere but I cannot find the (B)lurry button on my camera... despite this, I often end up with blurry images
Nice idea and very effective. I think it would have been even more effective if a smidge more of the most prominent facial features were easier to pick out. It may benefit from a little CCW rotation.
Very effective John, its funny how some people have that unique vision the gift to see an image that others don't,you have it by the bucket load!!!

Mr Mac, are we entering into a 'Vision of Lupus' photographic 'arms race' here? If so, the feast you lay before our eyes appears to have cranked up the stakes considerably - or put simply: it is the canis' gonads!
Love the way the image reveals itself gently; the eye and mouth are not immediately apparent but once you locate them the image delivers its full satisfaction.
Great stuff . . . . but I now feel obligated to retort . . . . watch this space . . .
An image that speaks volumes about the nature of the wolf as well as echoing the sort of tantalising glimpse that one might experience of them in the wild. I really, really like it and the motion works superbly.
Cheers

I like your posts - they are always interesting and never dull. I don't often comment on them because I don't know what I'm talking about and I can never make up my mind just how much I like them. But this one - well I can imagine being lost in the woods and this being the glimpse out of the corner of my eye that makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. This shot sets the imagination running in a way that no pin-sharp wolf leaping over a gate ever will. 10 out of 10 from me. eric
Eric - thank you - thats one of the most generous responses I have ever received.
And thanks everyone else too for your positive response to one of MY favourite images. John S-C I can see what you mean, but the wolf is actually running down hill which is why theres a definite slanty thing going on in it.
PS the Blurry setting kicks in at any shutter speed below 1/30th - neat Canon functionality! Dream on all the rest of you with your wet Nikkors. :-)

Hi John
I think Eric sums this image up very well, at first I was unsure about it but the more I look at it the more I can connect with what you are trying to convey. I really like this one keep them coming even though I can't connect with some of your images
