I often go out with cameras and gear with no specific subject or goal in mind; just walk about and look around for hidden bits and pieces of God's handiwork. This is one of those. I don't consider it a 'grab' shot as I did spend some time here, specifically waiting for a more luminous sky to be reflected in the stream. I don't have specs since "someone" decided to re-format his memory card. I do know it was on a D200 w/ 105f2.8 macro lens and a tripod.

Nice find. Have you tried a BW conversion with this shot? With that you could put extra emphasis on the nice lines in the reflections and (IMO) strengthen the composition.
Bruce , I like the shot to me the amount of limbs in the reflection is distracting. I know you had to work with what was there, have the same problem a lot. Did you crop some to get to this spot? The piano shape is neat.

Thanks for comments. Joe, I was concerned about comp. as well, but figured the slight angle was almost parallel to reflection lines. Kendall, there was a small crop off the lower left(snow of the river bank), but as mentioned, I tried to incorporate reflection lines. Taylor, here is quick B/W conversion from Capture NX2. (I don't have PS).
The vastness/opportunities of nature photography are MUCH harder to capture effectively than the high school sports photography I am used to!!
I appreciate all comments and critique. Bruce

I like the repost a lot better Bruce and I think the composition works well in BW in my opinion.
