Too close!
Had a trip to Slimbridge yesterday as there was almost 3" of snow on the ground. The Pintails were quite active but not coming very close so I decided to put x1.4 extender on. Yes 'sods law' these two came so close that I clipped the very tip of the females wing and tail and had to add some canvas also meant that when viewed at 100% the female is slightly soft due to DOF problems!

It'll do for me though. Even a bit more on the right would be better.

PS I do the pinioned ones - they don't go so fast !

Looks fine to me David.
Pintail are very smart birds indeed and your twin flight capture shows of both the male and female nicely.

Cor thats good! One more in there and I'd remove the three from above my fireplace and put this there! :-)

Seriously though - really lovely capture in great light. The natural reflector (snow) has just lifted the detail beautifully.

David, that's a lovely shot and to get the male and female together is a bonus.

Yes 'sods law' these two came so close - LOL David, we have all been there

The light and detail almost gives a 3D feel/quality on the first one, yes some more room would have been ideal, but then that's life David.

Stunning quality David and expertly handled. Very tight but well worth keeping for the male/female comparison alone. Good stuff.

Cheers,
Chris
