 Red deer at dusk
have just got back from a week in Scotland, i was primarily focused on photographing mountain hare and ptarmigan with a fair amount of success on each, but thought i would post this first instead.

In the processing have tried to keep the gloomy but also tranquil mood to the scene, not sure if i've succeeded, may just look too dark and blue

40D + 18-55mm
ISO 640

This is awesome, the pose of the deer really suit the dark and moody landscape.

This has a lovely feel - you can almost smell the smells and hear the sounds. Can't quite make my mind up about the bush, bottom right, but either way this is very atmospheric.

Cheers,
Chris

I think this is a stunning image, really really beautiful though I wish you'd composed it just a little higher to include more of the mountains. It's a stunning image nonetheless
