Branching Out
I spotted this comp while exploring in the San Jacinto State Park and returned the next morning after a brief snowfall. I liked what the snow brought to the image without totally covering up many of the finer details.

As always, any comments, suggestions or critiques are always welcomed.

Cheers!

This tree really has character. It's probably as much or more about
the exposed roots than the foliage. It looks like your exposure is
right on. A good find, Eric!

Eric,

Wild tree, it looks like a scrub oak, and the snow is just that added spice that adds a highlight the tree didn't have on it's own. The DOF is nice on this too and the orange lichen on the granite boulder this tree seems to springing out of, so many elements put together so well. Don't see many posts from the San Jacinto's, but Idyllwild and it's environs have some great photo opportunities.

This is good. I like the detail and it is nice close study. I would favor a little crop off either the top or bottom. The image seems a little too split in the middle to me, but that is pretty minor. Good eye with this.

This looks great on my uncalibrated MacBook.

This is really nice, Eric. If you were to crop it, I would suggest a little off the top. Great shot.
