Works for me, I love it! but unsure about whether I'd keep the grass stems or lose them...

Hi John

Works for me as well - wish I had taken it!

Less of the less is even more - more or less  :jump:

I would lose a sliver off the left John just to shift the birds eye from the centre of the image, and then perhaps add a little canvass right side.

Other than that is works well for me and I can tell what I'm looking without thinking...

Works for me John,

much as I hate to agree with Andy on anything  it might be better moved to the left.

Also there are a couple of dust bunnies on the right hand side

Tough little birds aren't they? Is it munching, or had it fallen through the snow crust?

I like any shot with Grouse, and with this being different from the norm, I like it a lot.

I'm with AA on the crop, and on my (work) screen, the bird is rather dark and could perhaps to with a lighten to bring those wonderful Grouse colours through :wavey:

Works for me as it is beautifully lit but also reveals the hardship that these birds have to endure, cracking!

Hi John,

Love this and I agree the cropping suggestions would make it even better!

Cheers,

Lewis.
