For those interested I just received this invite and information from the NPCA Organization. It might be an good outing to attend and see what information is being shared on the So Cal desert areas.

The National Parks Conservation Association and Defenders of Wildlife invite you to attend the Climate Change and the California Desert Conference. This free conference has a diverse and dynamic lineup, with experts exploring the impact of climate change to desert tortoises, birds like the mountain quail and the seeps and springs that are essential to the survival of wildlife in California's desert national parks. Presenters will also explore practical solutions that all of our communities can take part in, including the opportunity to tap into funds for energy efficiency measures like insulation and renewable energy such as rooftop solar for our homes and businesses. We hope to see you there!

Darn, that's the kind of thing I support, but I have a show opening that day.

Looks like I get to camp out in Joshua Tree the night before!

As Steve said, this will make a great excuse to make a JT trip. Sounds interesting.
