Lots of people hate wild dogs but I think they are the finest things to walk the earth. One from the good days of film, Provia I think? With a F5 and 500mm.

A good image that just says togetherness! Excellent parents these animals.

hi andrew
great picture, these wild dogs are very colourful, good parents and great to watch, i saw these in south africa , sadly not in the wild but in a wildlife sanctury, however got some great shots of a otherwise endangered species (in most areas now)
One of my favourites too. Nice image capturing a great expression on the dogs face.

Yes, I've got a soft spot for these as well. I have seen them on three occasions, once in Tanzania in 1991, and twice in Botswana in 1999. On none of those occasions did I manage a shot that conveys their social nature half as well as you do here.
A very under estimated and declining animal that has some superb family qualities, however they can also be one of the smelliest, especially several hours after a kill. I like the way you have isolated the animal from the group. Have you tried a 'pano' crop, it might work better, loosing the tree behind?
