This is my last series from the Zion trip. I appreciate all the feedback on the prior groups.
The first series was a blend of hues. The second focused more on the water and cool tones. This one focuses on the golden leaves and warm tones.

View of a trail.

I'm sorry to have to include a URL link for this one, but the version I had available was too large to post inline here. I'll fix it when I'm home later, though I may have posted this one previously.
This was my personal favorite from the trip. There is alot going on with the maple, cedars, alder and ash, a waterfall and the canyon walls, but all these subjects came together like a symphony to me.
Someone asked which were LF on the last post. The answer is this one (E100VS), the maples in the first series (Velvia 50), and the riverbed in the second series (E100VS). The rest were shot on my LX3.

The warm tones are great in all of these. About enough for a book I would think. And I hope this is not the end of these. Too good not to have more.

Really, really nice set Mel. Each image is very strong. I also really like the second image, second row on your linked page. A LOT.

Thanks Jesse. That was from a previous trip to Zion.

You sure came away with some great images, Mel. I'm really enjoying your posts. I can see why Emerald Falls is your favorite.

Hi Mel
I like them all but I like the first one. The third looking down at the trail I like as well. Great stuff! Makes me want to head to Zions this summer and shoot.

A winning collection, for sure! I like 1 & 2 here, especially 1. 2 seems a bit contrasty.

They are all very nice, Mel. I like the first one best from a compositional standpoint - I know it's kind of cliche, but, for me, the water would look better with a longer shutter.
