Good evening everyone, many thanks for the helpfull advice I've recieved lately. Another Barn Owl image tonight(sorry), and I think my favourite(of mine). I've cropped a little from the LHS to improve comp, and applied a little USM. All comments are most welcome.

Great image, 49mm!!! How do you get so close
Only crit would be that the face is a bit dark.

Hi Liam, well this image was taken while strolling through the Cotswolds Wildlife Park, where I saw someone witha Barn Owl, no jesses etc, and I pleaded with him for a few shots, cheeky I know, but..........!

Definitely my favourite from this series, strong composition and a moody sky. I agree about the darkness of the face but this a very minor point for me
Cheers

Hi Paul
Good shot but in all it's really a captive or flown bird .
They can be just as hard I know but I think it should really be made clear at the start.
Not "captive "as such , but controlled. The old arguement again

Wel captured. Great pose against the almost dark background.
Simpel and effective.
Lovely shot Paul. The light colouring of the Owl against the dark sky works really well. Nice composition too.

This is *too* good - I would have loved to have taken this myself
The shape of crop and the dark background is just right to me, it's like he's truly hovering high in the air...
