Photo of a Male Jay having dropped his peanut, the look of horror in his face makes the image for me.These birds are really hard to get close to because of their shyness and jumpy nature, and this picture was only possible due to my good friend Ken,who lives in Wales/UK who has baited this site for over two years, allowing close up images of these beautiful birds. All I had to do was turn up and wait, this image is a result of luck+camera. It does have that comical feel to it,something I love to capture in nature.

Wow, excellent!
Great detail in the bord, perch and even the nut!

Different and brings a smile to your face, I know what you mean about being shy, I too had to bait an area for some time before getting consistant images of them, I found autumn was the best time

Great action shot ,and a little more space to the left would make it. He's too far out the shot to the left to be nitty picky. Stick some canvas on !

I like this, a picture which shows the subject's character. And a nice colour palette and background too :)

Good behaviour with a nice diffuse background well timed. One thing - Nikon D3s, 600mm VR! - get your hand in your pocket and buy him some hazelnuts joking aside, I think that it will make for a more authentic image, as it would with squirrels etc. Just my opinion, peanuts for feeding, hazelnuts for photos.
