Leopard...
...slug.  As a riposte to the many aesthetically pleasing images I thought I would submit this to show just one aspect of Nature that is essential to life on this planet.
An image taken last year and reworked in PictureWindowPro 5
Best viewed about 3 feet from your monitor(s) IMO.

Sigma SD14
Sigma 50mm Ex DG Macro Lens
Sigma Ring flash
Hand Held

I don't expect many replies, as usual, because of the subject,or is it the photographer, the camera or a combination of all three? The natural world here in the UK is stuffed full of living things that haven't got feathers or fur but nonetheless deserve to be viewed, IMO.

Sorry to offend your sensitivities, girls.  Thanks for daring to look and comment.

Maggie, It could be a metaphor for the good Earth if we don't all come to our senses, soon. It is a rotten specimen of Devonshire Quarrenden See http://www.gardenaction.co.uk/fruit_veg_diary/fruit_veg_mini_project_september_2_apple-devonshire-quarrenden.htm

You can always count on my comment David  Beautiful detail in the slug,BG is  and the perch is a little different adding to the natrual feel of the image I feel  :wavey:

We cannot start that one off again David as someone(s) complained last time  It had nothing to do with nature I was told, hence me removing my cap badge-motto,gives them less to talk about and judge on  I keep finding these as I lay down waiting for other animals to turn up,under stones, old carpet etc, they are stunning to look at up close all the best

What's wrong with slugs? Our garden hedgehogs love them  .

Good capture of something we don't see posted too often.

this is right up my street David. A very interesting slug, I don't think I've ever seen one of these. Very well taken.
