Dum-de-dum-de-dum (Grouse)
Still lots of snow here, especially so higher up where some minor roads are still closed. Trying to make the most of it, even though there isn't a great variety of critters around. This Hen Grouse walked right towards me without a care (the title is what I imagined her to be saying as she ambled along)

1D3 700mm ISO:400 1/640 sec @ f5/6

Thanks for looking,

Simon :wavey:

Hi Simon, yep, certainly not the norm, or 'cliché'

Yes there is snow where we were too, but the Grouse were not playing ball, guess it was just to cold for their feet, even with their lovely white boots. Anything around Top Gear country?

I like this a lot Simon - funny how some scarper at the slightest thing, but others are so bold.

Thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated.

Sorry Steve for the late reply but the answer is the further west you go the less they seem to be showing. They are there (you can hear them) but are using their tunnels under the snow and heather to get around. Plenty in the Grinton area but less snow.
