Has anyone out there purchased this body.........and if so, what are you impressions after using it for a short period of time?
I'm ready to move, and I need some opinions........Thanks in advance.

I ran across this photographers website the other day commenting on and showing pictures from his Mark IV, so I thought I would pass this link on.
I am in the same boat as you Tom. I have one on order (hard to get here in Africa), but am actually not yet sure about whether it is worth the upgrade from the mk3...
Thanks again guys.....................will post my 2 cents when I get mine............

Mine just arrived. I can't comment on much as compared to the III because I haven't really had a chance to use it for wildlife.
I did shoot it inside an indoor arena on some horses in very poor light at ISO 3200. The photos were very usable for my purpose. They were much too noisy for wildlife but I suspect that I am going to be very happy at ISO 800 and with the Mark III I did not like going above 400. Even one stop can make all the difference.

I spoke with another photographer today that primarily shoots horses. He upgraded from the Mark III to the IV. So far he is very pleased and feels the IV does a much better job of locking on and tracking moving horses without losing focus than the III. He also felt the ability to shoot at a higher ISO and having more pixels to work with were advantages over his old camera.

Better image quality and significantly improved AF in servo mode.
