Blackcap
After many months (as some uknp members can testify) of trying unsuccessfully to shoot this Blackcap in my front garden, I decided to try the back garden. Within 1 minute of setting up he put in brief appearance, being constantly driven off by the Blackbirds who also seem partial to apple!

Nice shot, Tony. Funny but I've had a Blackcap starting to visit my garden over the last few weeks. Now visits daily but difficult to shoot in a natural setting (away from the feeders).

Nice portrait Tony. Pity there isn't a little bit more of the bird showing but you can't control that. Better than anything I have of this species.

Cheers,
Chris

Congratulations on getting your shot in the end. I've got a male and female visible from my kitchen window, they only stay for a few days but it's great to see them at the same time every year and makes the washing-up a lot more interesting as I watch their comings and goings at the same time.
