When sending out submissions to companies that require printed samples of your work, what size is best? I typically print 4x6" images for samples, is that to small?
Zack,
Its very rare that a company wants prints of your photographs. Make sure that is what they want, usually when a company says they want print samples of your work they mean copies of published work, often referred to as tearsheets. If that is the case I send them color copies from scans of the magazine covers, calendar covers...
Outdoor Photographer still likes to see prints along with some of the "fine art" photography magazines. Either way, I send the largest image I can fit on a 8x10 sheet of paper.
All companies should have guidelines, so follow them exactly. If they don't, call them and ask them!
