Hi Andy, a great shot but I dont like the brown mush on the RHS so I personally would crop this to a portrait! Cheers, Ian :toast:

Lovely shot Andy,

great pose and lighting :toast:

might be tempted to go for a vertical crop to get rid of the oof bush in the right hand corner.

Some people got the best jobs!!! Wednesday morning!!!! very nice Andy, didn't really notice the bush until I looked at Ian's comments, I'm sure you could tone it down/in so its not quite so distracting, once you know its there you do get drawn to it but it's a better shot than I've got of any wild barn owls!! Norfolk does appear to be the Barn Owl capital of the world!! Must catch up soon.

Norfolk is the Barn Owl capital of the world Andy !!!, on Monday and Tuesday that very well known spot was frequented by the good and the great, with the likes of Tippling, Pye, Green and Parkinson all after a good Barny shot.

Speak soon Mr Snape

I see what folks mean about the rhs and the possibilities for a portrait crop, but I really like the comp as it is with the owl on the 'third'. Nice one :toast:

Nice to see a differently presented barn owl - super natural setting, I agree that the RHS isn't as photogenic.

Hello Andy

I was there with Andy P and I believe you thought we were a couple of Gippo's looking for camera gear  very funny, it had been a long day as we went to Snettisham first then built a hide and then started looking for barnies, we don't always look that rough. Next time keep your car locked  Great Shot love the comp.
