Snow Buntings
Canon 1d3 500mm f7.1 1/1250 iso400

Hi all

Spent a few hours at Salthouse on the North Norfolk coast the other day targeting the friendly snow buntings. Whilst pleased to get this shot I know that, with the bank of photographers stood beside me, this shot also exists on several other peoples hard-drives - I guess thats the downside of honey-pot sites :frown:

Oh wow! was the first thought that came into my mind when this image appeared. I think it's a stunner.
Love the fact that you've captured a front-facing and a sideways-on pose at the same time.
The light and background are very nice too and what a superb perch.

Very nice indeed. I can't think of any way to improve on this. An excellent piece of work.

Can't believe how the perch and colours of the birds match, couldn't have wished for more and you certainly 'nailed' it, excellent image

Wonderful shot and the one I would like to have taken when I was there last week!! I recognise that rock! It was my first attempt to shoot the buntings and I know it's not easy to get a cracking pose like that.Congrats!

The important thing is that they're on your hard drive. Thanks for sharing this marvellous pic.

a great shot, well taken. You raise an interesting point about others having the same image on their hard drives. I can imagine that does take the shine off it slightly. Can't be helped though and you certainly made the most of the opportunity.
