Inspired by Craigs and Dannys wader images, I was up at dawn and down the beach to try and capture a series of images that told a story as well as being completely different. See my blog for the rest but this was my favorite from the morning.
I realise its not everyone's cup of tea but will interested to hear any thoughts, good and bad.

Indeed not everyone's cup of tea....but nice try nevertheless. On the positive is the nice pinkish water and the sharp in focus turnstone on the rock. There is no real focus point, too much rock in the foreground and the cut in half turnstone just doesnt do it, image could go a bit lighter i think. Sorry.......

Hi Liam

Good on you for getting out before breakfast - however doesn't work for me as Rene said too much OOF FG rock and the bird in flight cut off is not good.

There is a tranquil feel to the image that you get at first light and you have captured this well - keep missing the breakfasts  this is the time of day to get those special images!

Lovely feel to the image Liam,I like the OOF foreground that takes you to the Turnstone,I would crop the flying bird out and the line in the BG Like I have done here (Hope you don't mind) Its great you are inspired by others work, you have a good compositional 'eye' keep up the good work, love the blog images too  :wavey:

Hi Liam, I like Craig's comp. but for me it is still a bit dark. Still a great try. :toast:

Hi Liam,

Lose the OOF bird in flight, lighten the image and adjust the crop and you'll have a decent image.
