Yes, Spring is Here
Last Wednesday evening I heard geese.

I heard them for 20 minutes.

Then I saw them.

Probably 10,000 snow geese flew over my home within an hour. One flock after another coming from the southeast and basically flying northwest.

They were quite high and sent a message to be of a harbinger of spring.

This is not submitted as a great photo. It was shot with a 500 mm reflex lens because the geese were so high. So you can imagine only a small portion of sky was photographed, and everywhere one looked it was the same picture. Wow, what numbers!

I think we are all ready for spring and apparently the geese agree.

We need some light and color.

Hi Larry,

I also was witness to this huge movement of snow geese. I talked with a fellow at where I work and he said the same thing but Wednesday morning at Perry, 20 or so miles east of here. It passed for so long he was able to grab his camera get in his truck and drive a mile outside of town to take pictures and they were still flying over. So this migration last week was truly very huge.

A wonderful sight indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that would have been a sight to see. Let's hope spring is quick to arrive!

Yes, its spring!

We have budding trees in Texas. They seem late this year as we are still waiting on the bradford pears to pop but the redbuds near me popped today.

Welcome to spring!
