I was out at Wildcat Park last night and stumbled into a beautiful sunset (finally!). It was good to be out behind the camera again and to see green starting to show up!
This was a 4 shot blend processed using Photomatix. I thought about cloning out the rusted piece of junk in the creek, but that was probably beyond my skills and it does add a touch of color. Not sure if I like my decision to include so much foreground either, but I was trying to get as much of the stream in the shot as possible.
Canon 40D, Canon 10-22 @ 10mm, ISO 400, f22, various shutter speeds.
Glad you made it out Scott. I actually like the rusty box thing in the water. Looks like a chunk of copper, the color goes with the scene actually very well. Maybe it is a treasure chest, did you check?
Keep getting out, the weather is changing and soon the shutters will be flying!

Looks like you made the most of what was there, great colors
As always a great effort.
My monitor shows a slight rainbow effect on the backs of two tree trunks. these are located in the upper left quadrant. Lens flare. My monitor?
