Newhall Oak
I just happened to be driving down the road this morning and saw the oak in a field along a busy road in the Santa Clarita Valley. I left the car with just the 24-105 so when I found these flowers / weeds I couldn't fit the oak in the background because I was too close so shot it all in about 9 frames. I wasn't expecting for it work but gave it a try anyway.

I would say it work just fine. Glad to see the oaks leafing out - good sign of spring. Congrats on your banner - impressive.

What a beautiful specimen! I mentioned him recently, but the wonderful shape and delicate leaves reminds me of one of my favorite artist's Eyvind Earle. Nice work, start to finish.

Thanks Dan!
Eric, that is one of the coolest oak art I've ever seen. The San Inez Valley has some spectular blooms with oaks right in the background on rolling hills.

It's nice to see the oak trees starting to turn green again. Nice sky, too.
