PSE-7 Has Taken Over My Computer

Sorry for all the posts but this site is great and I'm so glad that I joined.

I use PSE-7 for editing and it's just taken over my computer. Almost Everything I download this program opens up (or tries to). I know there's a setting somewhere where I can adjust this but I can't find it. Any clues?

Thanks!

Ummm what computer system and which operating system?

Windows 7. Let me rephrase my question: PSE-7 is opening-up any photo that I download, in other words it's being the default and I'd like to change that.

Thanks for all your replies.

In previous versions of Windows, you can open up your file browser and select <Tools> from the top menu, go to Folder Options, then File Types - where you can set or change which programs open up which files.

You can also try right clicking in Windows Explorer and selecting "Open With" and then "Choose Default" or something like that. That will then change the opening program for that file type if you check the little box that says something like "Always open with this program".

Right click on any photo icon, choose "open with", then "choose program". Pick a program (such as Picture and Fax Viewer) and click the "always use selected program" box.
