Birds in flight are tough, especially without autofocus lenses. I try but don't get many shots worht sharing, and this is borderline.
Guess in the distant future a good autofocus telephoto is in order.
Anyway, this weekend, for an excuse to be outdoors I was photographing flying geese. I tried two hawks with my Nikor 500 mm relfex and captured several of this bird with its mouse-meal and the grass is trailing.
This lens is very, very manual and very, very focus senstive. It doesn't reach infinity until it's focused at 1/2 mile yet it will go down to 8-feet with many, many turns in between.... Get the drift.
Still, better that most television...
This is probably a 70% crop.
