This fella was lurking about in one of the fields by Gigrin I suppose he was waiting near by for the time when the kites are to be fed, have left the grasses because I think it gives a natural feel to it and thats how it was

Great shot Karren, being eye level has really helped.

Hi Karen

Nice one - colours look OK to me as you say they are very variable!

Nice! I like the low pov and the grasses are actually very pleasing in the composition - quite often you'd be reaching for the digital rubber to get rid of them but I really like the artful randomness of them here.

great detail and point of view, would personally probably give the picture a bit more contrast, brightness, saturation in processing but depends on taste, i appreciate some prefer a more realistic rendering

Colours look fine from this end too, just how I'd expect to see them on a cool Winter's day.
A good portrait with the bird a pleasing size in the frame. I like the soft light too.

PoV makes it and I like the natural feel conveyed by the grass. Cracking portrait.

Cheers,

Really nice capture Karen and as has been mentioned the POV makes the shot. One of my favourite raptors and nicely presented.

A superb capture, a fine example of the merits of LPOV.

Eye level is great,
OOF stems do not detract for me.
Colours look good.
I would give it a tiny tiny bit of Clockwise rotation.

Hi Karen get capture, i feel it could do with a bit more PP, to add a little more POP , to the image, otherwise spot on.
