High Key Kite
Hi everyone, spent last Saturday at Gigrin Farm in some excellent company(thanks for an enjoyable day all). The weather and the light were horrid, but you have to make the best of it. So here's an image from the few I managed to rattle off  . All comments are most welcome.

Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 150-500mm lens, Tripod and Gimbal.

f6.3, 1/2500 sec, ISO 400, @500mm. :wavey:

very nice shot, great pose and you seem to have made the best of the light with the exposure and processing

Looks OK to me.
I wonder how many pictures have been taken there this year ?
Perhaps we could have a lottery !

Nice one Paul, you did well to get so much detail in the bird, John may be surprised how many pictures you've taken there this year.....I've still got the shutter sounds in my ear......lol :wavey:

You've done well to keep that sky in there and get the detail in the bird Paul.

Though it's not a shot I'd call particularly hi-key it's a cracker of a result for those conditions.

Look out for a post from that Brummie though - he's just sent it to me and it's a beauty - told you you should have knocked his camera over!

Your shots get better and better all the time Paul   :wavey:

A good, sharp flight shot.

A good shot considering the light you had

There is some lovely detail in here, so perhaps the light had something going for it after all.

Nice one Paul :toast:

When do we see the other 24Gbs worth

Good skill in the capture but the light really doesn't do you any favours Paul. That's a good enough excuss to go back on a better day me thinks.

A good shot for an editorial cut-out though.

Cheers,
Chris

You really did do well in the available light. I hope to get to see this myself one day..

Harsher light may have meant you lost the detail, as it turns out you have a well executed shot.

The light has caught the head and side of the bird nicely there Paul. A touch tight at the top but a nice image in the circumstances :toast:

A nice image Paul. You managed to get more light in yours. It was a good day though, regardless of the weather. Would definitely make another trip. :wavey:
P.S. Are you still uploading the rest?
