Blue and white
sunlit snow against shaded snow, on a particularly clear day when i visited the cairngorms i decided to go on a tramp up to Macdui, the walking on the plateau ended up even harder than getting up due to the fresh snow, but the view were worth it

appreciate this may not be to everyone's taste bus i was completely blown away by the starkness and colours there, everything was either blue or white

Hi Jack,

Pure and simple. Great.
I do think I see some (dust-)spots. One dark one on the left and two light ones on the right of the picture.

Jack, in the right setting I'm sure this would work well - quite striking image. I think you have a few dust spots in the sky and maybe a little colour cast to adjust first.

I like it. :jump:

Need to straighten that horizon! :-)

Great contrast, and certainly stark. Whilt I DO like it I'd like it even more with a third something in it as well - colour, shape, texture...whatever. But I still DO like its simplicity. We all too often overlook the obvious so this gets my vote.

I quite like the simplicity of the image although there are a quite a few dust bunnies I can see and a jagged line along the edge of the snow

thanks for the comments all, dust bunnies noted will get rid of those,

i should probably add that the sunlit snow is only a few metres a way rather than a distant hillside, not sure if that's clear from just looking at the photo

I like this image Jack, certainly a big fan of its simplicity.

Simple with striking colours, I would have liked a 3 element.

A bold and graphic composition.

I really like that.. there is a lot of detail in the sunlit snow which gives it a reall lift. Nice one. I doubt I would even have seen it, let alone photographed it.

Unusually for me, I really can't make up my mind about this one Jack. I neither like or dislike it enough to give a worthwhile comment other than to say thanks for stumping me.

Cheers,
Chris

I like the simplicity and the composition but I also would have liked a third element.

Great contrast in the colours. Probably wants to be seen much bigger to appreciate all the detail and glittering in the snow
