What's the difference between a personal gallery at naturephotographers.net and a personal photoportfolio at photoportfolios.net. I assume that the personal gallery at naturephotographers.net is intended to contain recently posted images. But I notice that my personal gallery contains 3 recently posted images plus 1 older image posted in 2007.
Hi Patrick, it would appear that your older image is either from the NPN Membership Gallery, or you had an image from that date that was picked as a EP selection during that time frame. The rest would be recent images that you posted and elected to add those to your Gallery when uploading them. The photoportfolios.net is completely independent from the NPN Galleries per se. At least that would be my understanding of how the personal Gallery works.
Pat, you are correct in that they are similar. PhotoPortfolios is more geared toward marketing your images with key words, descriptions, etc. to those who are interested in licensing the rights to use them. The NPN personal galleries is more for showcasing select photos you have posted for critique in the NPN image critique galleries.
