Cedar Waxwing 11
Sorry I can't resist posting a second Cedar Waxwing effort this species really got to me they were so photogenic.

Canon 1D3 canon 35mm-350mm hand held ISO 400 270mm f/5.6 1/750 sec whilst hoping around a tree full of last years berries and thirty or so birds determind to clear the berries in record time. It was a pleasure to witness the event.

Critique, Advice, Comment all most welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Andy asked yesterday a question in relation to the back ground. I have added the environment so that you have a clearer understanding of what I was trying to deal with I trust this helps.

You have certainly dealt with the background well, assuming it was the same as in the first shot.

Like it, the composition is good and thats a nice background, although perhaps some smoothing of the faint lines might help and a slight lift on the shadows of the bird?

Lovely, great pose and composition. On my screen it looks like a slight lift to the shadows might benefit.

Good job on isolating the bird against a less than ideal backdrop. A beautiful species to have in your collection
