Banking Red Kite
Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments on yesterdays upload! At the risk of being 'Predictable' tonights upload is again from Saturdays visit to Gigrin. The sky was flat and boring all day, so I've played about with this one in an attempt to liven it up. See what you think!?

Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 150-500mm lens

f6.3, 1/200sec, ISO 400, @313mm.

Regards,
Paul. :wavey:

What does it look like in Black and white?

Hi Andrew, I nearly did a B&W, but then I remembered comments sying Wildlife didn't really lend itself to B&W, so I shyed away from it. Might still try it though, thanks!

Paul. :wavey:

Hi Paul,
I prefer the black and white version.

I prefer the B&W version too but the left corner (on my equipment) is too white. Don't worry about what people say - make you own choices.

Hi Paul, I prefer the BW as well. :toast:

I prefer the colour version (just to be different  ). A nicely captured shot, not sure if the head is sharp though. My first impressions were that it isn't sharp but looking again I'm not so sure.

Hi Paul,

I prefer the colour version, nice try for a different take :toast:

I'd count that a great success and it lifts this shot enormously. Did you add the shading to the sky or just turn it B&W. I'd be interested to know what and how you did that to this shot. The kites colours really go well with and against the grey sky.

Great shot, I actually prefer the colour version and I quite like what you;ve done with the sky (altough the left side does look a little too white, but just slightly) :toast: :toast:

I wasn't sure at first but the more I look at this one the more I like it.

Despite the white being a little too much, the B&W version works very well indeed and you might want to work on that for future presentation. Nicely done.

I actually think both versions work quite well Paul but do think the sky on the left is too light. Congrats on trying something different though. :wavey:
