Another Wolf from Germany, this time we caught the wolves at feeding time (meaning they drop a carcass in the area). Usually there is a little scuffle between pack members (lower ranking wolves trying to eat before their turn) but this time the wolves where not very hungry until this guy started to drag the carcass around the enclosure. When he took a rest I decided to take a shot, he looked so proud
Apologies if anyone finds the boar with legs up a little too graphic.
Tech: Canon 7d, 400mm @ f5.6, iso 1250 & 1/400th. TK's actions and layers in PS. (still having some trouble with the correct sharpening, how does this one look?)
Thanks Robert, I agree they look a little too well fed... Still a nice place to practice your wildife skills though

The boar is pretty innocuous - I would have struggled to identify it and there's no gore... Great expression on the wolf. The sharpening looks okay, but the contrast is a little low - a bit more 'punch' would help.

Fabulous image, not graphic at all. Nature can seam cruel at times, but all animals need to eat to survive. Well caught, love it!
Regards,
Paul.

I must admit he does look rather on the plump side, one of the consequences of living in a guilded cage, I suppose. Still a very nice image though.
