Had my first opportunity to photography this lovely birds this morning. The male bird chased this female (well i think its a female) up and down the hedge for 30 mins. it was interested to watch the behaviour. light was pretty poor this morning too.

C&C Welcome as always.

A beautiful bird - perhaps a tad tight and central in the frame for me :wavey:

Nice shot sir . Agree with Graham , portrait with some virtual feet would have made for a more pleasing result . Fair play on getting so close , mine are as skittish as hell.

Nits covered - wonderful colours and detail in the plumage. Good capture.

One of my bogey birds, so I am really envious of this. Nits covered, but still a shot I would dearly love to have taken.

I agree with Ian, the shot needs some levels adjustment as it is very bright on my screen too..

Crop and composition aside, it's a cracking shot Mark.

Thanks for the comments. I am having monitor issues at the moment at home,, Erics going to pop over and help me get it all calibrated. This pic is virtually full frame with only a slight crop of the left to stop the bird being quite so central. i couldnt get the feet in he was so Close
