I have been keeping an eye on this grove of trees in Columbia for some time. Finally, the green of the grass and the light was just right.

Pretty darn cool. The light is just...well, perfect. I can envision a variety of crops off the top that would work if you are willing to play with it, but I'm not sure how effective any of those crops would be above this composition. I love how striking the tree trunks stand out against the greens.

This is a really nice study in tree trunks. Nice light and the green grass really pops it. An alternative presentation might be to crop the top 1/5 to 1/4 and really make the emphasis the lower trunks. It works really well as presented, too.

Another quiet and peaceful look here, Preston. The contrast between the trunks and green grass sets this one up for a very nice presentation overall.

Many thanks for the comments, gents. I'll experiment with some different crops. This one is on my 'print it' list.

Really cool, Preston. I bet this looks awesome printed. One suggestion to consider though. I suspect this is truly level, it feels a little tilted to the right. I might consider rotating it a little to get rid of that sensation.
