Red-Legged Partridge
A male Red-Legged Partridge walking towards me,this image just captures him picking up my shutter noise,he then turned left :frown: ,sun was setting behind me and the detail on these jumpy birds is stunning, almost like it is painted on.

Nice photo, but a tad large, I know this because I am on a laptop with a 1024 screen

Sometimes Tom when I upload an 800 pixals in the past it has downsized the image to 720,here it has'nt and my mistake as I process them and save 800 longest for other reasons, won't happen again  :wavey:

They are stunning birds indeed and this image captures their beauty very well. The portrait format works well and the light is particularly attractive. :toast:

No issues, I only noticed as I am on a netbook and the screen is 1024 wide by 700 deep

Nothing wrong with the size of the image and it looks great the way it is presented!

Ah, sorry Rene there is - it is beyond the forums 720 pixels limit (rule 6). A limit set so we can accommodate all computer screens - The Mods

A beautiful image, you could lose a little space at the top, but the detail is superb.

Lovely shot, well exposed in very nice light. Great background that helps to draw the eye straight to the birds head.

No wonder it is jumpy, It isn't just photographers that shoot them.

It's a fine frenchy image Craig, tried for one of these last week in Norfolk, even in the car I couldn't get close.
