Long-billed Curlew, Mexico
Here is another from Mexico, a Long-billed Curlew wading near the mangroves, Laguna Del San Ignacio. :toast:

Hi Andy Nice Light and view point. and good timing on the capture too. but for me the bird needs to be moving towards , or side on to the camera. so there is good eye contact

The pose with the raised wings is excellent but It would have been a stronger image if the bird was turned towards you a little, as the face is in shadow at this particular angle.
Easier said than done though.

agree would have been better with it facing you more but like Justin said easier said than done

Shows the plumage well but overall this doen't work for me for the reasons stated above.

I agree with all the comments but it was a grab shot and I thought it showed the plumage off nicely without obscuring the head. :toast:

Hi Andy. IMO it would be a fine shot if it was not for the direction of the light. :toast:

that is a long bill, possibly needs to be more side on but a great record shot

Great attempt just a shame head and beak are rather lost. :wavey: :wavey:
