Friday Afternoon Fun
Got sick of working this afternoon so I processed a few raw images just for fun. I'm sure everyone else is like me and has several hundred untouched raw files waiting for their few minutes of photoshop fame.

This image was captured just as fall was approaching last year. Taken in the rain along the trail leading to Pam’s Grotto falls.

Technical Details: Cambo RS, 24mm, P65+ DB, f/11, 4 sec, polarizer.

You can view a much larger version on my blog

Ahh, the greens... I miss them. Will you be getting out much to shoot this spring?

I'm ready Aaron. Spring can't come soon enough!

Ed, this shot has a really good feel to it. I really like the way you used the overhang to frame the trees and the creek.

Thanks Tom. Had some really great light that day, here is another one from the end of the trail.

Same camera and lens.

Ed, first I am discouraged when I look at the above photo. Then, I think maybe someday I can capture a scene like that, and then I am encouraged. You and the other great photographers here do motivate me to improve over time. Thanks for sharing your wonderful images. I hope you are feeling restored.

Great colors in that first one

Jan, I know exactly what you mean, I fell that same frustration myself. Onward and upward I guess.

I am feeling much better, thank you.

Both are very nice Ed. I especially like the lighting in the first photo.. it has a great mood to it.

Two beautiful shots, Ed. I've always liked that pre-peak time when foliage is in transition between green and yellow/orange/red.

The conditions pertaining to water and color last fall may not be seen again for many years. I've looked at the archived river level data for Richland Creek since 1996 and there has only been one year that came close to last year - 2006. Who knows though, this may be another great year.

I'm glad to know you're getting pumped for some spring shooting.

Neat study in textures. The color and texture of the greens against the harsh angles of the rocks and framed cave entry.
Nice photo.

Both lovely to behold.

Wow Ed, I am loving how wide the second one is.

Nicely done, both of them!

Bill, I knew it was a special autumn last year. I could tell when the color snapped in Ponca that the water and color would be wonderful. It didn't make being down any easier, that's for sure.

Regardless of what we get this year I'll still be pleased to be around to enjoy it.

Nicely done. I like both shots, but find the second one my favorite.

Hi Ed it nice how the overhang in the first one frames the shot. Both are beautiful though. Spring is coming quickly before you know it we'll be sweating and fighting off the ticks and chiggers.

Nice images Ed. I really like the second one.

You said you are sure everyone had a few hundred untouched RAW images. I wish I did.... I have THOUSANDS!
