Taken today in a garden close to where I live. I suspect that it is an escapee, however it is not ringed.

Any ideas!

Thanks for the quick Id.

The photo was taken in the beer garden of my local in Somerset. Quite a spectacular bird really.

It has been around for several weeks and seems to be quite at home, seemed quite shy and preferred to skulk around in the bushes. Obviously not bothered by the British weather.

Smashing little critter. I'm in Somerset too - I must start going to pubs a bit more often.
