A few weeks ago I posted that Sunset Magazine was going to list my Photo Safaris in RMNP as an Editors pick in the May edition. The photo editor picked a shot out of my portfolio. This was taken during last years Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers workshop that I co-lead.
One thing to note is the image will be like a quarter the size posted, so printed its just pretty colors and the shape of some mountain peaks.
Its kind of funny they selected this shot. I headed to this spot specifically so I could get a different angle than the usual down the lake shot in the off chance I would ever have someone ask for a different Dream Lake shot. I have much better verticals but they requested a horizontal.
Hey, they went to Jared's! Yeah, I've been waiting to write that for awhile. I know you're probably sick of hearing that. Well, try, "Are you finicky, Morris?" for 30 years. The shot is very nice indeed. I like the warm light spilling over the peaks and you kept good balance between that area and the shadows.

I think you hit the jackpot with that composition and timing. We all seem to want to go into the cove but this is different and...VERY NICE!! Congrats on the selection. \
You guys think you got it bad? I've been the subject of every nursery rhyme for the past 100 years!!!
